Retired from acting after marrying Harvard Law School graduate Joseph Gallagher, who served as president of Industrial Light & Magic, executive assistant to the president of Universal Studios, and corporate VP of 20th-Century Fox. As of 2016, he is Senior Advisor and Interim Director of Fuller Theological Seminary's Brehm Center for Worship, Theology, and the Arts in Pasadena, CA. They reside in Los Angeles.

Attended Lewis and Clark High School in Spokane, the University of Washington, and graduated from Eastern Washington University.
